This past Christmas I had a volunteer opportunity to take portraits for homeless and disadvantaged people. What an eye-opening experience! How could someone so disadvantage be so open and giving? Eager to experiment and quick to let down their guard (Such a gift when taking portraits!), we worked together creating the beautiful images below. Later the photographs were printed and given to the participants. A BIG shout out to my Mom for being such an inspirational volunteer and for getting me involved! Also, thanks to The Listening House for setting up this event and for tirelessly providing a daily place of refuge for the needy.
