Linda and James had been together for over a decade. With the last child leaving for college they decided to celebrate a new chapter in their life by officially merging their two families and stepping down from high powered financial careers to start a farm in Connecticut. How’s that for change? To represent the blending of two families into one, the sand in the blue bottles  – one for each person – was combined into one symbolic vessel. The wedding took place at Gurneys Inn in Montauk and the planning and design, a perfect blend of beachy fun with taste and sophistication, is the result of the creative talents of my good friend and expert Hamptons planner, Jill Gordon.
